Being able to accomplish benchmarks helps everyone have a bit of dopamine, which increases motivation.

To tap into deeply collaborative work, you must give yourself and others permission to have different ideas. Not all of your ideas will be the right solution or fit. Not every idea will even be a good idea. That’s okay. Brainstorming and allowing others the freedom to be creative encourages teamwork. Every time you answer the phone or switch to your email, you are jumping out. Then your brain has to shift back into getting back in. After this happens several times, you may realize you haven’t gotten very far downstream. Whether it is earbuds in and phone notifications off or some other method, find a way to stay engaged in your work one task at a time.

As silly as it seems, be sure to reward yourself and your team for good work. Appreciate those around you. Productivity is multiplied through appreciation. When you see something happening that is a win, reinforce it positively. Even small rewards like a quick walk outside after a task can help your brain gamify what you are doing, making it more fun.
